TORONTO – Ontario has slapped a pair of $1,100 fines on two long-term care homes for failing to provide air conditioning in residents’ rooms. The number of people dying from opioid overdoses continues to rise in the Algoma region, according to new data released by Ontario’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
