August 28, 2022 FILE — The fatal stabbing came two days after a man was shot on a BART train at Fruitvale Station in Oakland. Douglas Zimmerman/SFGATE A man was fatally stabbed on top of a San Francisco BART station and collapsed onto a train platform Sunday afternoon, BART police said. The suspect fled the scene and has not been located. BART surveillance cameras showed two men arguing in the street at the 24th Street BART Plaza, BART Police Chief Ed Alvarez said in a statement. The stabbing victim was then seen getting off at the station, where he collapsed. BART police said they are working with the San Francisco Police Department and other local law enforcement to find the suspect. This fatal incident occurred two days after a man was shot on a BART train at Fruitvale Station in Oakland. The shooting suspect had not been arrested.
