Sen. Lindsey Graham, RSC, criticized what he saw as a two-tier legal system in favor of President Biden and against former President Trump on “Sunday Night in America.” Host Trey Gowdy kicked off the segment with a viral clip of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealing on Joe Rogan’s podcast that the FBI warned Facebook of “Russian propaganda” ahead of the 2020 election, leading the tech giant to squelch stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop. That news combined with reports of the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home led Graham to suggest there is a “double standard” in federal enforcement that could inspire violence in response. “Most Republicans, myself included, believe that when it comes to Trump, there is no law. They just need to have it,” Graham said. “There’s a double standard when it comes to Trump. What happened with Hunter Biden is that the FBI weighed in to make sure the story didn’t fall apart before the 2020 election. Now we have FBI informants telling the Senator. [Chuck] Grassley that they were told to slow down and back off from Hunter Biden. And I will say this, if Donald Trump is prosecuted for mishandling classified information after the Clinton debacle … there will be riots in the street.” Sen. JOHNSON As for the FBI, the senator expressed concern about how the law is being pushed into politics, especially when it comes to conservative Republicans. “You love the law and I love the law. I’ve never been more concerned about the law in politics than I am now. How can you tell a conservative Republican that the system is working when it comes to President Trump? What happened in the Crossfire Hurricane, it was a joke of an investigation. People lied and manipulated the evidence. Look what happened to Hunter Biden. They gave him a complete pass, obviously. And social media suppressed information that could have mattered.” Evacuees wait to board a C-17 Globemaster III during an evacuation at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, Aug. 23, 2021. I’m worried about the country,” he said. He went on to criticize the Biden administration over withdrawing from Afghanistan a year ago. “We are more vulnerable to another attack than ever. The Taliban are in charge of Afghanistan again. Al Qaeda and ISIS are thriving in Afghanistan. They want to hit our homeland. Joe Biden canceled the residual force insurance policy make sure they don’t they could get together there to beat us here,” Graham said. I’m sorry that we left thousands of our allies behind who fought bravely alongside us. I regret the fact that all the women who believed in us were handed back to the Taliban. I regret that Afghanistan will become another breeding ground for terrorism and probably another 9/11 will emanate there, through a broken southern border.” “If Joe Biden doesn’t regret what he did in Afghanistan, he’s really deaf, dumb and blind,” Graham continued.
