The 37-year-old man was shot in the 16600 block of 19th Avenue in Surrey at about 11:00 p.m. Saturday night. The man was taken to hospital with what police described as “serious injuries”, but has since succumbed to those injuries. Surrey RCMP say it appears the shooting stemmed from a dispute between two parties who were known to each other. “Several people were arrested by police following the incident and police are working to determine who may have been involved in the shooting,” Surrey RCMP said in a news release. “Police are canvassing the neighborhood and talking to witnesses to get more information. Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the shooting to contact police.” Police asked anyone with information about the shooting to call the IHIT tip line at 1-877-551-4448 or by email at [email protected].
