Police are now appealing for anyone with information about the incident, which happened at around 1.07am on Sunday outside a house in Dawnay Road, to get in touch.

Officers rushed to the Canterbury estate after a third party reported possible shots fired. They found evidence of gunshots and damage to the front of a property and a car. No one was reported injured.

The road has been sealed off for much of the day by a huge cordon and people living near the scene have spoken of their concern.
A woman, who did not want to be named, was visiting her elderly father when she was forced to take a different route because of the police scene.
He said: “You don’t expect it. You hear about it happening in other areas, but you don’t expect it on your doorstep.
“I live about 20 minutes from here so I couldn’t go down my usual route and had to go around.”

The woman and others said there were problems earlier in the week.
Another woman, a mum-to-be, said she was shocked to see the large police presence and added: “It’s worrying. This area, when I first moved, I felt safe, the people were nice.”
He said he doesn’t feel the same now.
Pat Burnett, who is in her seventies, lives near the scene and said: “It’s scary, I heard a bang.
“I can’t see any sense in it all.”
People spoke of their concern
She said her granddaughter, who is almost 11, was staying with her and had been left scared.
Another woman said people were coming onto the estate and “causing trouble”, while her friend added: “When you have children you don’t want someone shooting around the houses.”
Councilor Talat Sajawal (Independent, Little Horton) said it was “very upsetting and very sad” and urged anyone with information to contact police.
Detective Inspector Guy Shackleton, of the Homicide and Major Investigation Squad, said: “Police are carrying out a number of inquiries into this incident today and we are appealing for witnesses to what happened.
“All firearms offenses are taken extremely seriously and we can assure residents that a full investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of this incident.
“Anyone with any information which could assist our inquiries is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Investigation Squad on 101 quoting police crime number 13220473894.
