Ozzy Osbourne has revealed that part of the reason he and his family are moving from Los Angeles back to the UK is because he is “fed up” with the epidemic of gun violence in the US. In a new interview with the Observer – where Osbourne also discusses his battle with Parkinson’s and recent health struggles, his new album Patient Number 9 and reuniting with Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi – Ozzy and wife Sharon Osbourne spoke about why they chose to move back to England after decades in LA, and how the move wasn’t about health. More from Rolling Stone “America has changed so drastically. It’s not the United States of America at all,” Sharon said. “Nothing is united about it. It’s a very strange place to live right now.” Ozzy added: “Everything is ridiculous over there. I’m sick of people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s crazy,” referring to the 2017 Route 91 Harvest shooting that killed 60 people. “And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in fucking Forest Lawn [Memorial Park, a celebrity-filled cemetery]Osbourne continued. “I’m ENGLISH. I want to go back. But saying that if my wife said we should go live in Timbuktu, I’ll go. But, no, it’s just time to go home.” The Observer noted that Ozzy’s return to the UK brings him closer to his former bandmate Iommi, who recently appeared alongside the singer for the first time in five years. Osbourne has said he hopes to build a studio at the family’s new UK estate to potentially record an album with the Black Sabbath guitarist. “You haven’t seen the end of Ozzy Osbourne, I promise,” he said. “If I have to go there and die in the first song, I’ll be back the next day.” The story continues The best of Rolling Stone Click here to read the full article.
