The Homicide and Major Investigation Squad would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or has information about the incident which happened at around 1.07am. today (Sunday) outside a house in Dawnay Road, Canterbury Estate.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers attended the address following a third party report of possible shots fired and found evidence of firearms being fired at the location and damage to the front of a property and a car.
“No injuries were reported and further inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”

Detective Inspector Guy Shackleton, of the Homicide and Major Investigation Squad, said: “Police are carrying out a number of inquiries into this incident today and we are appealing for witnesses to what happened.
“All firearms offenses are taken extremely seriously and we can assure residents that a full investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of this incident.
“Anyone with any information which could assist our inquiries is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Investigation Squad on 101 quoting police crime number 13220473894.
