Amy Harrington, 38, of Madera Beach rear-ended another vehicle about a mile from her home on April 27, officers told WFLA. When Pinellas County deputies arrived, officers said her eyes were bloodshot and watery. Harington was trying to walk in a straight line during a field sobriety test across a parking space when she gave up and started dancing, the video, released Saturday, showed. Instead of walking, Harington decided to dance during the sobriety test. WFLAAmy Harrington rear ended a vehicle near her home in Madeira Beach. Pinellas County Jail “She had difficulty following directions and was unsteady on her feet almost falling,” according to arrest documents obtained by the store. Dressed in a black skirt and white top, Harington danced wildly in the footage before being asked to walk the line. “Do you want to pay attention so I can give you the directions?” asked a deputy administering the test. “Yeah, well, you sound like my ballet coach, so, that sounds about right,” Harington replied before making a move, according to the video. “That wasn’t good,” quipped the officer. She went through “multiple ballet and Irish folk dance moves,” police said, and can be seen waving her arms and dancing around the line in front of the unimpressed officer. He later refused to take a field sobriety test — the second time he refused to take a field sobriety test following a separate incident in Pinellas County in 2019, officials said. In the end, Harrington was driving under the influence, according to the report.
