Since iPhones usually go up for pre-order on Fridays of the same week as their event, we expect that to happen this year on Friday, September 9. iPhone release dates are usually a week and a half after Apple’s announcements. Sometimes release dates are staggered for specific models, especially when a new design or size is introduced. Therefore, it is possible that the iPhone 14 series will have more than one release date.

This year’s event also follows the Labor Day case that CNET has been diving into since 2018. It hasn’t always followed suit, as the case didn’t materialize in 2020 or 2021, and supply chain issues for the iPhone are still likely to have been reported. 14 could affect its final release date. A recent Bloomberg report, however, suggested a September 7 release along with a September 16 release date. Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has allayed some of those fears about the supply chain, saying it should have only a “limited” impact. in a July Twitter post.
