Many Canadians dislike Air Canada (or their competition, for that matter) because of bad experiences, and now an actor known for his appearances in the Harry Potter movies is piling in as well. Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in all eight blockbusters, savaged the airline on Twitter on Friday, calling it “the worst airline in North America”. Confirmed. @AirCanada is the worst airline in North America. And that says something. — 🇺🇦Matthew Lewis🇺🇦 (@Mattdavelewis) August 26, 2022

“And that’s saying something,” Lewis added. When someone asked on Twitter why he was upset, Lewis gave some details. “Kicking me out of the first seat at the back of the plane is what it is but doing it at the gate. I literally tear up my ticket. No explanation other than “full flight”. I said if I wanted to sort it I would have to go to customer service. I asked where he was. “Toronto”. I’m in Orlando,” Lewis tweeted. Kicking me out of the first seat in the back of the plane is what it is but doing it at the gate. I literally tear up my ticket. Lewis also said: “I’ve honestly never had anything like it. I’ve been hit on before. It comes with the territory. But at the gate, less than two minutes to board and no explanation or apology? Never. They even said if I want to complain or get a refund I have to contact them!” However, he doesn’t have it against the Canadians. Lewis tweeted about how much he loves Canada and visiting. Someone posted an image of Air Canada retweeting Lewis’ original tweet, but it was unclear if it was photoshopped or if it actually happened. Lewis was in town for the Fan Expo.
