Poe, the Ravens mascot, was carried off the field during a mascot vs. youth football game at halftime of Baltimore’s preseason finale against the Washington Commanders on Saturday night. Poe had to be lifted into the cart by three people and his left leg had to be stabilized. Ravens coach John Harbaugh entered the field and checked on Poe, who stayed on the field for nearly five minutes because many were unsure if he was truly injured. Poe’s injury almost delayed the start of the second half. He was carted off the field with about a minute left in the third quarter. It was a surprisingly rough game between the mascots and the youth footballers. One of the players pushed a Bear mascot off his feet as he tried to get into the end zone. A replacement for Poe appeared midway through the third quarter, prompting cheers from fans at M&T Bank Stadium. He high-fived the fans. Harbaugh will be called for an update on the injured Poe after the game.
