COSAR members use an underwater camera near McKinley Landing Saturday morning. Police and search and rescue volunteers are back on Okanagan Lake near McKinley Landing Saturday morning looking for a man who went overboard and never resurfaced Friday afternoon. Emergency crews were called to the lake near Dewdney Road just after 5pm to a report of a man who had gone into the water and not resurfaced. Although few details of the incident are known at this time, initial reports indicate that the man was on a floating boat in the area before entering the water. Duane Tresnich, search manager with Central Okanagan Search and Rescue, says the man was not located during their search Friday night, and members are back on the water Saturday looking for him. COSAR members use an underwater camera and sonar to search the bottom of the lake. Crews asked the boats to move away from the area so they could safely do their work. Photo: COSAR
