Olivia Wilde has blasted the double standards surrounding the reaction to her split from Jason Sudeikis, claiming he is considered a “hero” while she is considered an “absentee mother”.
The actress, 38, is currently embroiled in a custody battle with co-star Ted Lasso, 46, over their children together, son Otis, eight, and daughter Daisy, five.
She is currently in a relationship with Harry Styles, 28, although there is some confusion over when their romance began and when exactly she broke up with her ex-fiancé.

Speaking about her split and speculation about her love life, Olivia told Variety: “The most painful part was women shaming me for making a decision that was for my own health and happiness.”
He went on to discuss with the publication the double standards he faced after the split.
Variety noted, “When she and Styles are photographed together, it’s implied that she’s dating a younger man. just as often, she is characterized as an absent mother.”
To which Olivia explained: “When people don’t see me with my kids, it’s always like, ‘How dare you.’
“I’ve never seen anyone say that about a man. And if he’s with his kid, he’s a fucking hero.”

Olivia and ex Jason were in a relationship for nearly a decade from 2011 to 2020, and in the same interview, she blasted her ex-fiancé for handing over her custody papers in front of a large audience while on stage at the 2022 CinemaCon in April .
The actress called the ugly incident an “attack on her workplace” but said she wasn’t surprised it happened because there was a “reason” she left the relationship.
Four months ago, Olivia was on stage at the ComicCon event in Las Vegas to promote her upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling when she was ambushed by a request from Jason – who wanted their children to live with him in New York.

A source close to the former couple told DailyMail.com exclusively in April that Jason had “no idea” that her papers were being served this way.
Meanwhile, Olivia recently won a legal victory when a judge ruled that California was the home of their children, and last week an insider told People that she “wants to focus on what’s best for the kids” and talk about the issues their custody.
“She and Jason don’t speak to each other, so they help communicate about the custody plan,” the source said.
While Olivia is “upset about the custody drama,” she still wants their children to see their father “as much as possible.”
“She hopes they can find the best living situation for everyone,” the insider said of the actress.
Sources say the Life Itself actress and Ted Lasso star rarely speak, preferring to communicate via text or assistants.
She also accused the South of Heaven star of issuing her custody papers “in the most aggressive manner”, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed.
