A man has died following a crash involving a motorbike and a minibus in Plymouth this morning. Emergency services were called to Kings Road, Stonehouse, at around 5.30am. after the collision. The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His relatives have been informed. The driver of the minibus was taken to the hospital for treatment. Kings Road is currently closed between Stonehouse Bridge and Paradise Road. A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police said: “A man has died following a collision which occurred today, Thursday August 25, on the Kings Road in Stonehouse. Officers were called at around 5.30am after a minibus collided with a motorbike . “Emergency services attended the scene where the motorcyclist, a local man aged in his 40s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His relatives have been informed. “The driver of the minibus was taken to the hospital where he remains. Closures have been put in place at Stonehouse Bridge and Paradise Road. These are likely to remain for the next hour or so. “Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 124 of August 25.”
