A 12-year-old girl has died after being injured in a hit-and-run involving a Bentley Continental. The collision happened late on Saturday night in north London and left the schoolgirl fighting for her life. It has now been confirmed that she died of her injuries in hospital on Tuesday. Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward after her death was announced. It happened in Colney Hatch Lane, Barnet, just after 10.10pm on Saturday. He was traveling in a Vauxhall Astra which collided with the premium car. Two men in the Bentley fled before police arrived at the scene. The police investigation is continuing and one arrest has been made (Image: UKNIP) A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving on Monday, before the girl died, and was bailed until the end of September.
