When her devoted spaniel Yogi fell 100ft off a cliff, troubled Emily Linehan thought it was the end. But after landing in the sea, the lucky pet climbed onto a ledge. And when Miss Linehan called 999, an RNLI lifeboat crew found him ducking and brought him safely back to shore. Despite leg, eye and broken spine injuries, Yogi should recover from the fall in St Mary’s Bay, Torbay, Devon. Emily Linehan was heartbroken after her devoted spaniel Yogi fell 100ft off a cliff Miss Linehan said: “I am so grateful to the crew. There are no words for how I feel. “It looks like he will make a full recovery and be able to run like before. He is a very lucky boy.’ Lifeboat coxswain James Hoare said: “We are very pleased to have found him quickly as he was cold and shivering as well as injured. We wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

He carried Yogi to the lifeboat, where he was brought back to shore to be reunited with his owner. The RNLI has advised dog owners to keep their pets on leads when walking near cliff edges or fast-flowing rivers.
