Watch this bland Brooklyn bedroom become a mid-century modern getaway in just one day: The expert recently went viral on Reddit with 57,000 upvotes after her colleague Adriana’s video of her swimming with a tiger shark left people stunned. In the video posted by @SamMee514, Grant explained that professional diver Andriana was showing why you shouldn’t swim and run away from sharks. “Splashing and swimming mimics what the prey is doing,” Grant said. “When dealing with top predators like sharks, we want to act like predators too.” Adriana encountered a huge tiger shark. Instead of running away, he faced it. “What you really want to do is not splash,” Grant said. “Turn around, look at the animal and maintain eye contact. With tiger sharks, you can put your hand on top of their head, push down gently, and that will redirect them away from you.” Adriana did just that. He stroked the tiger shark, led it in a new direction and watched it move away. Both were unharmed. “There’s nothing like sharing space and co-existing with an apex predator that could do you harm but chooses not to,” Grant told the Sun. “Even with all my years of diving with sharks, I’ve never been in a situation that felt like an ‘attack’ or up close.” See this Manhattan apartment get an incredible maximalist makeover for just $1,000: The post Expert diver shows how to avoid a shark attack appeared first on In The Know.
