About 1,500 speeding tickets were erroneously issued at two speed camera locations between July 1 and Aug. 15, according to a city memo Wednesday. “The error has now been resolved and the tickets issued in error will be voided,” said the note from Carol Hall, the city’s deputy director of traffic services. Researchers have found a link between learning a musical instrument in youth and improved thinking skills in old age. People with more experience playing a musical instrument showed greater lifetime improvement on a cognitive ability test than those with less or no experience, according to a publication from the University of Edinburgh. Just Stop Oil protesters have blockaded petrol stations and smashed petrol pumps across London this morning. The action began at 6am today in the west and south of the city. Some protesters have been pictured sitting in the street with banners, while others have blocked entrances. Teams have broken the screen glass and covered the pumps with spray before sitting down to “wait for the catch”. The pumps have been decommissioned after Just Stop Oil said 51 campaigners flocked to petrol stations....
